IntegriMULSIFIER Natural SSL is a naturally derived primary emulsifier designed to stabilize O/W emulsions. This highly functional mild thickener is composed of 100% natural ingredients and is preservative free. It improves the skin feel and functionality of creams and lotions developed for intensive skin care.

As part of the NMF, lactic acid and lactates are also important to help stabilize skin pH. Although this ingredient is a derivative of Lactic Acid, it is a mild emulsifier with good skin tolerability, that has shown no irritation or sensitization in clinical tests.
IntegriMULSIFIER Natural SSL derives its efficiency as a primary emulsifier and emulsion stabilizer from its ability to form liquid crystalline phases using nonionic co-emulsifiers. Such liquid crystalline phases also contribute to moisture retention, lubricity and help to improve skin feel in emulsion-based skin care products.
May be used for a wide variety of personal care formulations. It can be used to emulsify O/W systems from thin lotions to thick creams with wonderful skin feel and unique textures. Other co-emulsifiers such as polyglycerol esters, mono/diglycerides or ethoxylated fatty alcohols can used in the formulation to stabilize / emulsify O/W systems. Other ingredients and thickeners may be added to adjust the skin feel to the desired application and to stabilize the system. IntegriMULSIFIER Natural SSL should be heated to above 75◦C prior to adding to the emulsion.
